1. Total Billing

Definition: 

Total Billing refers to the total invoiced amount within a specific period, including all charges generated by subscriptions, one-time fees, and additional costs.

Formula:  TotalBilling=SumofAllInvoiceAmounts(IncludingTax)

 

2. Net Billing

Definition: 

Net Billing represents the total invoiced amount minus any refunds, cancellations, or credit notes issued. This metric gives a more accurate view of actual revenue generated.

Formula: NetBilling=TotalBillingCreditNotesandRefunds

 

3. New Billing

Definition: 

New Billing tracks the invoiced amount generated from new subscriptions, upgrades, or add-ons during a specific period. It reflects the revenue impact of newly acquired or expanded business.

Formula: NewBilling=InvoiceAmountfromNewSubscriptionsandAdd-Ons

 

4. Total Billing Paid

Definition: 

This KPI measures the total amount of invoices that have been successfully paid during the selected time frame. It indicates cash flow from billing activities.

Formula: TotalBillingPaid=SumofPaidInvoices

 

5. Total Credit Notes Amount

Definition: 

This metric represents the total value of credit notes issued within a specific period. Credit notes can result from refunds, overpayments, or adjustments to previously issued invoices.

Formula: TotalCreditNotesAmount=SumofAllIssuedCreditNotes
